Bio-Medical Waste
Collection of Bio-Medical waste is done in different coloured plastic bags, kept in same coloured plastic containers in each ward.

Black :Harmless sweeping refuse & waste material
Yellow :Bio - Hazardous waste - Organs & tissues For incineration
Red :Bio - Hazardous waste. For vapoclave
Blue :Disposables needle syringes, sharp
(Puncture proof)

These waste materials collected in the plastic bags sent to incinerator room and waste & disposal centre, in a covered wheel cart.

- Each ward & O.T.s are provided with Needle destroyer.
- At central waste collection & disposal centre following equipments are installed & supplied by multifab company

(1) Incinerator :75 kg / Hr. Capacity with wet scrubber, Electrically remote operated using diesel as fuel.
(2) Vapoclave - 75 kg capacity for disinfecting plastic waste
(3) Shredder machine - After disinfecting plastic material, plastic waste material is cut into pieces in electrically operate shredder machine and then plastic materials can be sent for recycling.
